Just a quick note in case any of you read this more often than the saintserver boards that Glenn and I are planning to put together an issue of the Norham Herald in time for Summerfest

Glenn has posted all about it although I'm also looking for illustrations - especially borders and article breaks - if you're interested leave a comment.

You can pm articles to me from the F&H noticeboards or email me them - you can find my email address by clicking my name at the bottom of my work website

I'm currently finding my enthusiasm for F&H to be at a very, very low ebb. As such I'm not really going to be paying attention to anything F&H related for a while, just to give myself some space.

As such, I'm looking for someone else to take over modding/owning this community. It takes no work at all, I just don't really want to see F&H stuff at the minute.

Any volunteers?

Well it seems to have been a success with players as well as with us. The players were so organised and co-ordinated that they didn't lose a single person, though there were two maimings (High Father Ellvar and General Random).

All frothed up now and want to get to play Vau for longer than a few hours!

Well Sir Siobarranarras certainly got his ass handed to him on a platter last night...
But at least it was all in good roleplay...

I seriously thought I had lost my character when that damned mage did a "I Deny your Future", that really was a mite scary.
Even so my poor character came out with his link to his god severed.

So, whos up for a bit of Hellmourn bashing...?
:)

And we came off the best in the programme I think. Which is quite worrying.

Although the people in the Happy House were vastly irritating and the Blackpool people were just plain unpleasant.

Still not sure which system is was. It involved shouting "Triple" and drinking beer which might narrow it down. :-p

This coming Wednesday on Sky One at 9pm (I think) there's a programme about the great British holiday and the weird shit we do when we're having one.

It's got rubber sword LARPers on it. Didn't recognise the system from the glimpses I caught on the trailer. Really could've been any system, people in skelly masks and demon masks etc. However I thought people might be vaguely interested in seeing how badly they lambast us.

So, we monstered yesterday and were consistently addressed by the ref as ‘you lot of not-rights’. Poor Tim (Master Wing) had to take a break during briefing us to go and collect himself. What’s your most impressive ref-breakage story?

I think the best one I’ve witnessed was at Sintelfest, where I read aloud “Third adventure – that’s me and Vau – oh, Sir Eldrick’s on that – oh, so’s Sir Cassius –“ and there was suddenly a ref at my side, having apparently hurdled the counter, going ‘Third adventure – that’s mine – oh god, I have the forces of wrong on my adventure!’ Ref breakage occurred a good twenty-four hours before the adventure.

Ok, I don't want to give too much away here...

I'm currently writing an adventure, but instead of the usual pre-statted linear we are all used to, I want to try something a little different.

The idea, is an investagative style of adventure, piece the clues together, find the people you want to talk to, etc etc.

Now, as the players can pretty much go off on whatever tangent they desire, I cannot pre-stat encounters. So, what I'm thinking of, its using a two way radio set to communicate with a monster ref, who then stats up the encounters on the fly...

I'm throwing this idea around at the moment, trying to think of ways in which it might not work well, and then designing the problems out, has anyone tried this before? if so, do you have any pointers.

Thanks
Justin (aka the 'Elven Templar Bloke' whose name no one can remember... :-p )

Subject:The voting situation ...
Security:Public
Mood: guilty

As you may or may not be aware at the last Exec it was voted to take away players individual rights to vote on elections. I'm trying to get the issue reopened as many people seem to be unhappy with the situation.

So if you don't like it tell people. Send me an email, post on the OOC board, get your point across to people.

Equally if you think one vote per branch is a great idea, let people know about that too. I want to see this issue resolved in a way that the society is happy with. The only way that can happen is if the Exec know what their members want.

This is nowhere near a full list of the society but if nobody actually cares then I can relax happy in the knowledge that we're not doing the wrong thing.

On checking my f-list I discovered new people. Some clicking led to this community.

I play Faith, a half-orc devote of Crowa and Vau's little sister. If you've been given a lollipop in character, you've probably met me.

Who are you lot, then? Introduce yourselves.

Ohh, its all new and shiney...

Well, the intro blurb mentions tips on weapons making...
Well I don't know much about that but I do know a little bit about how to torture small bits of metal into something resembling armour.

So if you want anyhelp in making, understanding or buying the stuff, then I might be able to help.
If you have any tips on armour that you can pass on, then I'm all ears. God knows I need all the help I can get.

Otherwise if you want to view some of my past work, then this is the link to try
